Dear St Mark Family,
Welcome to the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time and Catechetical Sunday. This weekend we will also have a special blessing at all the Masses for our catechists (Children, Youth and Adults).
For this coming week, our Daily Mass times: Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30am, then on Wednesday evening at 7pm with a 6:30pm Rosary prior, all in the Main Church.
Our Parish Office is back on regular hours and will be open on Sunday, from 9am to 1pm; then on Monday through the Thursday, from 9am to 3pm.
Religious Formation Registration has closed out! Formation for both Elementary, Middle School and High School begins this Sunday, Sep 17, from 12pm to 1pm with "Cookies with the Catechists." Formation Sessions will continue on Sundays - Elementary: 12:30pm to 2pm and Middle and High School: 6 to 8pm.
Our Parish Eucharistic Revival event for Sep-Oct begins Adult Small-Groups this Sunday at 12:30pm, with additional sessions on Tuesday at 9:30am and 7pm along with Thursday at 9:30am and 7pm! We will close the sign up this Sunday. Please see the sign up sheets in the Commons. This formation program is using Bishop Robert Barron - "The Mass", we will also explore his new booklet – “This is My Body”, written specifically for the Eucharistic Revival.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a year - round formation process for adults (ages 17 and above) who are not Baptized or coming from a different Faith tradition that want to become Catholic, or those Baptized in the Catholic faith but never formed in the faith. We meet on Monday evenings from 7:15 to 9pm. Please contact Deacon Mike if you have any questions or are interested in participating.
Sign-ups are ongoing in the Commons, for those that desire to participate in the Diocesan Eucharistic pilgrimage to the Basilica in DC on Sat, Oct 21. Cost will be $40. There are only 15 seats remain.
Our St Mark Blood Drive is this coming Tuesday, September 19th from Noon-5pm. Red Cross is experiencing a drastic blood shortage and has upgraded our drive! If you are able please sign up to donate. We currently have 6 open slots. You may sign up in the Great Hall or visit www.RedCrossBlood.org and enter: CCSM to schedule an appointment.
We are having a special Ministry Appreciation Mass this coming Wednesday, September 20th, at 6pm, for existing ministries in all areas (Building and Grounds, Justice & Peace, Liturgy (which includes Music Ministry), Parish Life and Religious Formation) and those that would like to join one of these special ministries. We will follow the Mass with information in the Great Hall, along with special treats. Please come, join and celebrate Team St Mark!
